My Mother's Tea Utensils Creative Decorative Vase Unseen style, artist unknown. Size: Approximately Diameter 150mm x Height 190mm x Mouth Diameter 30mm I am organizing the many tea utensils that my mother, who was a tea master, used to cherish. She traveled the world and always acquired the utensils she liked. Her disciples visited her almost every day and enjoyed themselves. This piece is a decorative vase that my mother was particularly fond of and proud of. It was elegantly displayed in the main tokonoma (alcove). It has an unseen style, and I haven't seen anything like it. The surface has natural, artistic cracks that look like indentations. The shades of color are also beautiful, and I wonder how this was achieved. Did the cracks form in the kiln? It's a magnificent firing. There is a mark of the artist on the back, but I cannot read it. If anyone knows the artist, please let me know. Also, since it was carefully displayed, I would say it is in near-unused condition.
