This is an early 1950s model of the Montblanc 146, a representative model. It is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or malfunctions. The end of the barrel is stamped with "OBB," but the nib width has been adjusted to approximately F. It has been adjusted, so the writing feel is not a problem. The piston tip has also been replaced, so there are no ink-filling issues. (Many junk items with ink-filling problems due to cork shrinkage are sold in the market, often deceptively labeled as "untested.") The differences from the current model are as follows: * The body material is celluloid. * The piston is a telescopic type. * The nib is very thin, flexible, and soft. * The telescopic piston unit is almost entirely metal parts, so the overall length is slightly shorter than the current model, but it is heavier. * The star on the cap crown is ivory, not white. 【Telescopic Piston Filling Method】 The piston filling method is basically the same, but in the case of the telescopic type, the shaft of the cork seal part is a two-stage type. It contracts like a telescope, so more ink is drawn in. The point is that when loosening the end of the barrel, there is some play. When you turn it past the play, the piston finally starts to move. Extend it all the way out, immerse the entire nib in the ink bottle, and slowly turn the end of the barrel to the right to fill. Once filled, turn it past the play to finish.
