Sakata clay dolls, a local craft of Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture. Sadly, they have been discontinued since the passing of the fourth-generation artisan, Fumiko Oishi. The orange color is vibrant, and the floral patterns are lovely. Her slightly smiling expression is very beautiful. - While it looks quite good at first glance, it is an old item, so it is being sold with some scratches and stains.
