I originally bought this used! It's a soft material. I've only worn it once. It's part of the original design, but just in case it causes any issues, there are areas where the color appears uneven, as shown in the last photo. It's not a stain. I don't see any noticeable stains or scratches, but this is just a personal inspection, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection!
