Multipurpose, blade length 16.1cm, 158g. The spine is about 2.1mm thick near the top of the heel. It seems to be an older model from Nihonbashi Kiya. It's a double-edged stainless steel knife. Although "Edelweiss" isn't engraved, it's a very hard stainless steel, typical of Kiya. As shown in the last photo, there are linear, crater-like marks right at the bolster; this line is the boundary between the soft iron and the steel. Knives where this line is visible are almost certainly authentic. The handle showed signs of wear and had many sunken areas, so I filled them with putty and then painted it. The appearance is very poor, but it's now waterproof and should last for quite a while. I sharpened the blade thoroughly and polished it. Please see my profile for detailed restoration steps.
