This is a vintage, Showa-era, genuine silk hanhaba obi (half-width obi) purchased from an antique shop. I suspect it was originally an otaiko obi (a type of formal obi) that was remade into a hanhaba obi. The size is approximately 370 x 15.5 cm (measured while folded, so there may be slight variations). The slightly glossy green fabric features a woven pattern in the same color. Various flowers and plants, such as peonies, chrysanthemums, and pine, create an auspicious atmosphere. (Taken indoors during the daytime, with natural light. No color adjustments have been made. Colors may appear different depending on the device. Please understand.) It's very chic and elegant. You can enjoy a stylish and refined look. It feels quite substantial when tied, making it perfect for this season. This obi is suitable for the season of awase kimono (lined kimono). It can be used for fashionable wear, casual outfits, Japanese dance practice, cosplay, and remaking! No major damage is visible, but there are wrinkles overall. It may seem slightly dull in color, but it's unclear whether this is original or due to aging. I also think there is some feeling of use. Also, as it is quite old, and due to the color pattern that makes damage difficult to see, there may be unseen deterioration and minor oversights.
