The length is approximately 53cm. It is not see-through. It's a poncho type, so you just put it on. I didn't use it frequently myself, but I bought it for emergencies when going out. It was useful when I had to breastfeed in the car. It folds up compactly, so I didn't feel burdened carrying it around. It was convenient to have one.
