“Something’s in my stomach… something other than poop…” – a shocking opening line. This is from an essay by Momoko Sakura, the author of the beloved *Chibi Maruko-chan*. Sadly, she passed away from breast cancer. Just recently, the voice actress Tarako also passed away. Reading it again, I'm overwhelmed by how truly irreplaceable she was. The child in this opening line would have been in their mid-twenties when Sakura-san passed away, and apparently, they were there to see her through to the end.
