This item is a pair of 501XX jeans, made with denim from the now-closed White Oak plant of Cone Mills (at the time). Produced in April 2001, just before the end of production at the "553" San Benito factory in Texas, USA, the home of Levi's, this is a "rigid" model with the "xx" designation on the paper patch. It is a so-called "final model made in the USA" just before the closure of the US factory. Furthermore, the "red tab" attached to the back pocket is a rare "blank tab" model, featuring only the "Circle R," which appears in less than 10% of cases. The 501XX jeans from this period are attractive for their deep, dark "navy blue" denim fabric that doesn't fade easily. The more you wear them, the more you can enjoy developing your own impressive "vertical fading" and "whiskering." Despite being a vintage item that has been around for over 20 years, it is in very clean condition. This is a hard-to-find "premium" pair that has been carefully stored since it was acquired.
