Since it can be attached to vintage original Eames shells (seats), it is ideal for replacements. *This is the base only. *Although it is an unused item, it is a stock clearance item and may have scratches and dirt overall. *This is a replacement base for vintage original Eames "Cats Cradle" type bases, but there may be wobbling or misalignment of screw holes when attaching to the seat. In such cases, adjustments or modifications may be necessary, such as inserting rubber gaskets between the screw mounting holes and the seat as cushioning material, or slightly applying force diagonally to the frame to correct it. *Mounting screws are not included. Charles, who was enrolled in the architecture department at Washington University from 1925, opened his architectural office in St. Louis in 1930.
