The story of Victor's dog "Nipper" is an episode of a loyal dog listening to the voice of his deceased owner. A fox terrier, owned by the painter Mark Barraud in England and called "Nipper," was taken in by his brother Francis after his brother's death. Francis painted the dog tilting his head and listening intently to the voice of his deceased master played on a gramophone in a painting called "His Master's Voice," which became world-famous as the "Victor" logo.
