While renovating and organizing a Showa-era house, a pair of Hakata dolls, male and female, were found along with other items from the Showa period. They are believed to be from the 1950s to 1960s, but the exact year of production is unknown. The dolls have gentle expressions and a simple, warm appearance, making them a charming example of Showa-era aesthetics. There are no noticeable cracks, chips, or other damage, and they appear to be in generally good condition. There was some dust on the surface, which has been lightly cleaned to avoid damaging the paint. As I am not an expert, I have refrained from strong cleaning methods that could potentially remove the paint. Someone with more time and knowledge may be able to restore them to an even cleaner state. I am not the original owner and have never displayed or used these dolls.
