The minimum focusing distance is 33cm for the first generation, but this second generation allows for super close-ups of about 15cm! It is a rare lens with a limited production run. We have prepared sample photos taken with this lens. Even without sharpening in the camera or during development, this is the result! It makes you wonder if you were even supposed to be able to capture leaf veins with a Leica. However, unlike the sharp rendering of modern lenses, this lens can produce flare and ghosting in the presence of light, and a slight blurring effect. There are no other lenses that can achieve this kind of rendering in the macro range. The second generation allows for even more serious close-up photography. Being able to get close expands the possibilities of expression. While there may be other lenses that excel at distant subjects, there are no comparable lenses that can focus from around 10cm. The condition is free of mold and haze, but there are some small coating damages on the front element, like dust. The rendering is good as shown in the sample photos, but this is the only point of concern. The exterior has some scratches from use, but there are no noticeable dents or impacts, and it is clean for a black model with noticeable scratches. I believe the operation is problem-free. In an era where M-series cameras are equipped with EVFs, this lens will shine even more in the future, so please consider it.
