A set of two small E-Karatsu plates purchased in Saga about 17 years ago, made by **Koun-gama (Koun Yamaguchi)**, a famous kiln in Takeo. The back of each plate bears the ceramic mark of Koun-gama. These plates are characteristic of Koun-gama, with a solid earthen texture and playful circular (marumon) designs.
