Purchased new and only test-played, this is a beautiful item. This is the 5V model, the deepest cup model among the rare V-cup models. The rim is equivalent to a 5C. The cup is very deep, close to a flugelhorn mouthpiece. It has a very deep, warm tone, with elegance and allure, and a pleasant resonance that allows the instrument's vibrations to be felt by the player. Darren Barret, a professor at Berklee College of Music and a wonderful trumpet player, also test-played and raved about it on his YouTube channel "All things brass and technology," where you can listen to the tone. It truly has a uniform and wonderful tone from low to high. Many trumpet players loved V-cups, such as Miles Davis, Clark Terry, and Kenny Dorham, and I believe it has the attractive tone of those players. Please give it a try.
