This is a Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It's a piece with a graceful pine needle chinkin (gold inlay) design on high-quality, translucent vermilion lacquer. Although it's not large, it's suitable for ozoni (New Year's mochi soup). It has only been stored, but there is a name inscribed on the foot. The size is 12 cm in diameter and 9 cm in height.
