These plates date from the end of the Edo period to the early Meiji era. While some of the gold gilding has faded, they have endured for a considerable amount of time. Considering their age, they are in good condition. The indigo gradation is beautiful, and the painting is very elaborate, with delicate patterns. The landscape painting is adorned with gold gilding, giving a sense of luxury within the elegance. Additionally, arabesque patterns are painted on the outside of the plates with sometsuke (blue and white), showing attention to detail. They have been in my family home for a long time and have been carefully preserved.
