This is a Yanagiba knife from Sakai Ichimonji Mitsuhide. The blade length is approximately 26cm. The steel type is unknown. It is made of solid steel. It is single-edged. It has a black buffalo horn handle. I previously listed this item, but I have corrected, re-sharpened, and polished areas of concern. I have mirror-finished it, but some fine scratches remain. I recommend it if you don't mind them. Both the flat and the cutting edge are almost mirror-finished. Given its size, it is recommended for professionals and general households alike. It has been finished with a Kitayama 8000 grit whetstone, a Shapton 12000 grit whetstone, and a natural whetstone.
