This is the unpicked fabric from a thick kimono. It appears to be wool. It's quite wide, with the body of the garment being a single width without seams. There's also some half-width fabric, so it seems like there's almost enough for one kimono. It's reversible, with stripes on one side and a check pattern on the other.
