I deconstructed a Meisen kimono and made a long skirt. I was planning to release the Meisen skirt when it got warmer, but since there were people interested, I decided to list it. The original kimono was in beautiful condition (photos 11, 12, 13). Since Meisen can fade when washed with water, I only sterilized it with a high-temperature iron after deconstructing it. The color is a purplish-navy. The randomly drawn zigzag pattern and the gray and red accent colors are lovely. It's a pop and cheerful design. The fabric has a moderate sheen and the crispness characteristic of Meisen. This time, I paired it with a black long skirt. The unique pattern is very nice. I put long tucks, three in the front and three in the back, to reduce the volume. Although there's plenty of gathering, the tucks make the waist and hips look neat. Silk fabric is expensive, so I don't think I'll be able to buy fabric and make it easily. It's a lot of work to deconstruct old clothes, but it's wonderful to be able to enjoy the feel of silk in everyday life. It's also a good point that you can enjoy the unique colors and combinations of Japan. I enjoy sewing, specializing in straight stitching. I use old kimonos, such as Tsumugi, Meisen, and Komon, as well as obi and furoshiki, for remaking. Please consider this if you understand that there may be remaining threads, small holes, stains from used items, distortions, and double stitching. ✳︎Please avoid washing as much as possible, and after wearing, hang it on a hanger to let it breathe. ✳︎Everything except the skirt is for photography purposes. ✳︎There is no lining. Please use a petticoat when wearing. Material: Seems to be silk Size Skirt length: Approximately 80cm Waist: Elastic band with a width of 2cm is inserted, assuming a free size.
