This is a Hakone Yosegi-zaiku (marquetry) trash can. It is a traditional craft with a beautiful, dignified hexagonal form. It also has plain sections, making it a simple design that is easy to match with modern interiors. There are minor scratches and dirt from use, and the black coating inside is worn in some areas due to rubbing. I don't think there are any noticeable scratches or dirt on the Yosegi sections. Please check the images for scratches. Please forgive any oversights as this is a used item inspected by an amateur. Size Width, Depth...approx. 18cm Height...approx. 29cm Immediate purchase OK.
