BAL Cargo Pants, Size M These cargo pants feature an orthodox olive drab color with a unique tiger stripe camo pattern on the pocket flaps, characteristic of BAL. Made of 100% cotton, these pants are from a street brand that's rarely seen these days, and are made in Japan. They were likely produced around 2007, during the time when the BAL CREW was into the PIST BIKE culture. Although that culture has almost disappeared, I think these pants would also fit well with the bicycle lifestyle promoted by BLUE LUG, a bicycle shop that is friendly with BALANCE and continues to lead the current bicycle culture. (SUPREME, which used to have many MADE IN USA and MADE IN CANADA items, is now reportedly made in China.) Size M, with an adjustable waist. Waist: 40cm (x2 for 80cm) Inseam: 73.0cm One button is missing from the right back pocket, but there is no other damage that would affect wear. The hem can be adjusted with a drawcord. They also feature epaulettes and buttons that allow you to fold up the hem. This detail is reminiscent of the 90s-00s street, Ura-Harajuku, and Ebisu styles, and feels fresh to wear now. While pants with gimmicks from the time of Balance Wear design, such as rugged cargo pants, tech combo denim, basic chic vintage jeans, and chain stitch painters, and basic, vintage-processed items that would later lead to ANACRONORM are also attractive, something this understated is also quite nice, isn't it? At first glance, they look like orthodox pants, but they somehow go better with sweatshirts and hoodies than shirts.
