Old Noritake Chikaramachi Landscape Sugar & Milk Set This item bears the Chikaramachi mark, a mark of Old Noritake. Noritake Company's headquarters are located near Nagoya Station, and there is a place called Chikaramachi (主税町) nearby. Items manufactured at the factory there bear the Chikaramachi mark. Old Noritake often features the M mark, stemming from the Morimura Gumi, but the Chikaramachi mark, though less common, also exists. Chikaramachi pieces are interesting because they have designs different from those with the M mark. This is an antique item made for export to the United States during the early period of Old Noritake, around 1924-1935.
