The mouthpiece is a clean, genuine NIKKAN "TR1・5MS". I collect vintage trumpets, but I've never seen an instrument this clean in used condition. It may be difficult to tell from the photos, but the actual instrument is even cleaner than it appears. Almost all of the nickel silver plating remains, and there is no "dulling" characteristic of nickel. The yellow brass on each slide is also clean. I obtained it used, so I can't say it's "like new," but I'd almost like to say it's unused. There is almost no sign of use, with no dirt, rust, or stains. Extremely rare.
