This is an Oribe bowl from the early Edo period. The size is 10 cm in diameter and 5.5 cm in height. The deep, translucent green of the Oribe glaze, combined with the bold, humorous, and cute painting, is unpretentious and allows one to feel the master craftsmanship of the artisans of the time. The condition is good, with only some stains within the overall crazing, and it comes with a bamboo shifuku (protective cloth). Thank you.
