【Traditional Japanese Craft】This is a set of yunomi (teacups) made by the 13th generation Gyugyu Yokosei of Hozui-ken, an intangible cultural property of Nagasaki Prefecture, who carries on the tradition of Nagasaki's Genkai-yaki. These yunomi are a set of Sagano Susuki (Japanese pampas grass) pattern yunomi drawn with Gyugyu Yokosei's unique Genkai Hakeme technique. The brushstrokes are created only with the clay, without using any materials such as red paint.
