This is a Shinobue flute, "Takusui" of the Shishida school, crafted by the second-generation flute maker, Chuichi Ito, of the Ito Takekanki Seisakusho, who inherited the techniques of the late Edo period flute maker, Shishida. It was made in the late Showa era, over 40 years ago. The bamboo is well-dried, and the sound quality and tone are excellent, making it a well-finished instrument. Thank you for looking.
