Handmade hibachi from the Meiji era. What appears to be cracks are kiln marks from firing and will not break with normal use. Characters (kanji) are painted on the base. This unique design, which suits both Japanese and Western styles, is rare. I have two of these at home, and the top image is the one I currently use. Fire tongs, trivet, ink, and ash are not included. The items for sale are shown in the second image and later. There are stains and scratches.
