This is a Yamanaka-nuri (lacquerware) food storage container with a rotating base. It's old and has been stored in a storage room without being used. The rotating base has some age-related discoloration, but the item itself is completely unused. It can be disassembled and washed. The outer box was quite dirty, so I have disposed of it.
