Thank you for looking. This was given to me about 30 years ago as a thank you gift from a young, unknown monk who did not have a temple. He lived in Saga Prefecture, and that is all I know about him now. My impression of him at the time was that he was pure and innocent. The kirie (paper cutting) depicts Namikiri Fudo-son. On the 5th image, on the forehead, and the 6th image, near the hem of the clothing, several brown spots can be seen. They can also be seen around the waist. The frame is made of wood and shows signs of color deterioration. There is a white ring-like object in the photo, but it is from the lighting. It was displayed in the tokonoma (alcove) at my parents' home. After I got married, I displayed it on top of the piano in my Western-style home, but my children were boisterous and it didn't quite fit the atmosphere of the room. After much deliberation, I decided to list it for sale. I hope that someone who can incorporate this kirie into their home's atmosphere and cherish it will purchase it.
