This is a yunomi (tea cup) purchased from the artist at a flea market. It has been carefully stored without being used even once since purchase. A ceramic artist from Hungary, active in Japan since 2015. While learning Japanese pottery and aesthetics, they cherish Hungarian folklore and traditional pottery styles, intuitively mixing them with Timi's unique playfulness. Timi grew up playing by the river from childhood, touching clay and sand. This early experience became the starting point for their creative activities, naturally leading them to the path of pottery. Initially, they mainly created porcelain, but their love for the natural environment of Mashiko and pure clay grew, leading them to move there and begin creating in earnest. They find joy in digging their own clay, processing it, firing it in a new kiln, and completing their works with unique glazes made from local materials (rice husks and starch). For Timi, clay is a partner, and they are engrossed day and night in the challenge of listening to the clay's voice and creating the best stylistic beauty.
