Schwartz Workshop (Markneukirchen) Model 5209 (B♭ Single) Made in GDR (former East Germany) Serial No. 4 1612 Likely manufactured around 1970♪ Unlacquered / Yellow Brass (one-piece bell / exceptional piece) Plays well... a certain East German tone♪♪♪ Responds well to breath, and sounds good from high to low notes♪♪♪ Since I'm no longer actively playing, I thought it would be better to pass it on to a young, energetic person... If it doesn't sell... I plan to cherish it (wipe/polish it?!). Both the rotary valves and the tuning slides move smoothly. The brass smell doesn't seem too strong for an unlacquered instrument (unlike Hans Hoyer, etc., which have a very strong smell!?). The rotary valve airtightness seems slightly inferior for its age, but it doesn't seem to hinder performance (consulted a repair shop and adjusted with Alisyn oil). As the photos show, there are no noticeable dents (slight dent removal marks in the 7th photo), and it's generally clean. Polished with deerskin, it has the dull shine characteristic of yellow brass (some oxidation) as shown in the photos♪ ※Includes a YAMAHA hard case (11th photo / slight warping on the top leather, but otherwise no problems) ※Mouthpiece not included
