Old Meito Cups Thank you for looking. This is a very rare set of 5 demitasse cups from **Nagoya Pottery (Meito)**, found while clearing out my parents' home. Nagoya Pottery was a prestigious manufacturer, mentioned alongside Old Noritake during the pre-war and post-war periods. As the company no longer exists, these are vintage items affectionately known as "Old Meito" among collectors. ■ Design and Features Art Deco Style: A very modern and beautiful design reminiscent of the early to mid-Showa period, with a geometric lattice pattern and pale purple lines. Hard Porcelain: Stamped with "Meito Hard Porcelain," indicating a solid and durable construction. Size (approx.): Diameter 80mm x Height 55mm (Demitasse size) These can be stylishly used not only for espresso but also as dessert cups for pudding or jelly, or even as sake cups for cold sake. ■ Condition Saucers are not included. This is a set of 5 cups only. Manufacturing Characteristics: As is typical for items of this age, there are small manufacturing blemishes (frit) and black spots throughout. Crazing: One cup has crazing (fine cracks in the glaze) from the bottom to the side.
