It was stored in a bookshelf with a door, so there is almost no sun damage, but there are scratches on both the front and back covers from being in the bookshelf. Also, the inside of the front cover was taped, so there are tape marks. There are no other noticeable stains. I think it's in a cleaner condition than buying it at a used bookstore, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. It will be simply packaged and packed with recycled materials.
