This is a baby girl's ceremonial kimono (uchikake) and undergarment (hadajuban) for her first shrine visit (Omiyamairi). This is a vintage set that I also used for my own Omiyamairi. Recently, many red and pink uchikake are seen, but purple ones are not as common. The "taiko pattern" (drum pattern) is an auspicious design that symbolizes prosperity and success. It also has gold leaf, making it sparkle. Both items have stains on the inside, but there are no stains on the outer fabric, so they can still be used. You may also use them for remaking/upcycling. I will fold them as neatly as possible and compress them for shipping. If you prefer not to have them compressed, please comment before purchasing, as you will be responsible for the shipping costs.
