I bought this about 10 years ago to take a single-lens reflex camera hiking, but I gave up on photography, so I used it a few times and then stored it. There are scratches on the camera-side attachment, but there are no problems with use. I think you can still use it for a long time, but please consider purchasing it with the understanding that it is a used item.
