This is a JB-60 from the "Spa Logo" era of TOKAI's Jazz Sound, which has been increasing in value in recent years. It features a spiral bridge and reverse-wound tuners. Judging from the wood grain, the body is likely alder. The neck wood and fingerboard quality are also excellent. I previously owned a lacquer-finished JB-80, but this one has a thinner finish. It was released as a copy of the 1964 Jazz Bass, and it was very well researched. I was particularly impressed by the thickness of the headstock, which is very similar to the 1964 Fender JB I own. I believe this neck feel and the good neck resonance are the reasons for TOKAI's high reputation. The truss rod has plenty of room in both directions. The frets also have a considerable amount of life left, as shown in the photos. It has been adjusted and is ready to play. The pickguard was missing when I purchased it. The hard case is for photography purposes only. It will be shipped in a cardboard box over a soft case.
