This is a yunomi tea cup that was sold at Senni Onsen Iwa no Yu in Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture. It is approximately 7cm in diameter and just under 8cm in height. The overall color is a pale green, with a 2cm-wide rim around the drinking edge that is a deep, slightly darker blue, creating a beautiful color scheme. Given the atmosphere of the tea cup, it would likely suit not only Japanese tea but also cold sake. The hot spring was discovered by yamabushi (mountain ascetics) in the Heian period and was a hidden hot spring for Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin. As it is located near Kawanakajima, it is said to have become a hidden hot spring for Takeda Shingen after the Battle of Kawanakajima.
