It has a calm, aged appearance and is recommended for those interested in weaponry and crafts. The "Owari Sukashi Tsuba" (Owari pierced tsuba) is somewhat large and thick, especially the connections of the patterns are thick and imposing. The hammered surface with exposed iron bones has depth, and the applied patterns are almost symmetrical. There are no figures or inlaid work. Many masterpieces of Owari Sukashi Tsuba were made from the Warring States period to the Azuchi-Momoyama period. This trend continued into the mid-Edo period.
