As the photos show, there is a chip in the lid. It's on the top side of the lid, so depending on how you place the lid, it didn't seem to leak from there. It's been well-used, but there are no problems with its use. It was a great help until recently, but due to my busy schedule, I reluctantly bought a rice cooker and have decided to sell this. It can cook very delicious rice.
