The top guide is warped, but I have caught about 50 fish with it in this condition, so there is no problem using it. There are also small scratches on the blank and chips in the cork of the grip end. The joint is also narrower than when it was new. I hadn't considered selling it until recently, so I used it hard. However, there is no fatal damage such as chipped guides. With this rod, I have caught bass, sea bass, catfish, lake trout, brown trout, Arctic char, rainbow trout, black rockfish, goldspotted grouper, and giant seahorses.
