I drew this with the Seto Inland Sea and Hiroshima Prefecture's famous oysters as motifs. I used watercolor paints on mermaid paper. Inspired by the name "mermaid paper," I imagined a mermaid, and created a picture of the original character, Lala the mermaid, and her sea slug friend, Rele, encountering local specialties and scenery after getting lost in the Seto Inland Sea.
