The prefecture has a complete system, from lumber mills to manufacturing plants for laminated wood and plywood, to biomass power plants, so if the amount of material produced can be secured, the prefectural timber can be processed and consumed entirely within the prefecture, which is a rare and comprehensive production system even nationwide.
