This is a Tamomokume (ash burl) suzuribako (writing box) / small item case / jewelry box. It is made using the sashimono (joinery) technique. It has a glass coat finish. External dimensions: Length 25.5 cm, Width 18.3 cm, Total height 7.3 cm Internal dimensions: Length 24.0 cm, Width 16.6 cm, Depth 3.1 cm A bottom board is attached to the base. The interesting grain of the ash wood is well displayed. There is no dedicated outer box, but it will be carefully packaged.
