The brand name was created by reversing the surname of the founder, Ariste Racine, and officially started as the Enicar brand in 1914, becoming known worldwide. At the time, it boasted outstanding accuracy and was adopted as a railway watch in the heyday of pocket watches in European countries. ENICAR was a watch that you could aspire to if you worked hard, and although it was cheaper than OM○GA and Longi○, it was a high-end watch in the same price range as domestic brands like Ro○mer Marvel.
