Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfectly finished product. m(__)m This is a handmade, box-shaped, large tote bag remade from an obi (sash). I thought it would be convenient to have a bag that could hold a lot of things when going out in a kimono, so I made it in a size that can fit a water bottle and A4 files. The pattern is different on both sides, so you can enjoy coordinating by choosing which side to face out. It stands up on its own. A removable, soft, simple bottom board is included as a bonus. The materials used are used or new/unused items. Please note that there may be wrinkles, inconspicuous stains, and the smell of mothballs. The front side uses an obi from Hashimoto Teru Orimono, called "Ocho Emaki Mon" (Dynasty Picture Scroll Pattern). It has a rare mint green background. The other side features glittering flower crests. The gusset is made of fabric with butterflies and auspicious flower crests scattered on it. The fabric is silk. Because I'm sewing obi fabric with a home sewing machine f(^_^;), there are some unevenness and misalignment in the sewing. Please understand that this is a handmade item. I have taken photos of the parts that I thought might be of concern due to the sewing, so please forgive any minor oversights. There are overlaps, misalignments, and non-parallel parts in the stitching around the edges. There may be some loose threads on the obi締め (obi tie). Please check the condition in the photos and description, and consider purchasing if you don't mind.
