The set comes with a wooden box and is in near-new condition. According to the official website, one dish costs 13,200 yen and is currently sold out. The seller purchased two boxes (10 dishes) from Ryuta Gama, a Karatsu kiln, for their collection. (Each box cost about 50,000 yen.) Although these are older items, they have been carefully stored with minimal use. While there is some aging on the boxes, the dishes are in excellent condition. Some are completely new. These are now hard to find. They would be perfect for New Year's, the end-of-year holidays, or for kaiseki meals. They are easy to use for Japanese cuisine, kaiseki, and home cooking, and have the appealing warmth characteristic of Karatsu ware.
