All acrylic stands come with a base. The acrylic stands are used as they were displayed normally. The postcard was given to me, and it was not in a sleeve at that time. I have since put it in a sleeve and stored it in a dark place. Acrylic stands: Will be wrapped in bubble wrap. Postcard: Will be protected against bending and water damage.
