“T-WAVE” is the 6th original album by Masayoshi Takanaka, released on June 1, 1980, a work of ambition released just six months after the previous album, “JOLLY JIVE.” It's a refreshing album perfect for summer, with a sophisticated, urban fusion sound and a superb blend of Latin and funk elements. ◎Tracklist Side A 1. EARLY BIRD A unique opening that begins with the sound of an alarm clock. The upbeat tempo and refreshing guitar are impressive, making it a song that truly feels like "the beginning of the morning." 2. WILD MOW-MOW Characterized by a funky rhythm and playful melody. Izumi "MIMI" Kobayashi's keyboard shines. 3. MAMBO No.6 A danceable number incorporating Latin rhythms. The horn section adds a touch of glamour. 4. CRYSTAL MEMORIES A beautiful ballad with a transparent melody and lyrical guitar. It's a particularly mellow song on the album. Side B 1. MY SECRET BEACH Also known as the CM song for Mazda "Familia," this refreshing number evokes a summer beach. The chorus is added, creating a resort-like atmosphere. 2. 空ド白ソ (Soradoshiraso) The song title represents the musical scale (Sol-La-Do-Si-La-So), a song that blends playfulness and lyricism. It was also used as an insert song in episode 18 of Fuji TV's "From the North Country." 3. PALM STREET Composed by Izumi "MIMI" Kobayashi. It's a number perfect for a night drive, with an urban and sophisticated atmosphere. 4. Le Premier Mars The title means "March 1st" in French. With a gentle melody that evokes the arrival of spring, it was also used in NHK's "600 Kochira Joho-bu." ◎Participating Musicians In addition to Masayoshi Takanaka, many top musicians of the time participated, including Shigeru Inoue (drums), Akihiro Tanaka (bass), and Izumi "MIMI" Kobayashi (keyboards), adding depth and glamour to the entire album. ◎Condition ※Both sides A and B of the record are in good condition.
