Thank you for your interest in this item. This is a pre-war puppet. It has a bald head, glasses, and strongly resembles Namihei (from Sazae-san). The hands are made of unglazed pottery, and the head is made of papier-mâché. I no longer know what kind of plays this doll was used in, but I imagine it was probably used as a father figure. How about using it for display? Please note that this is an old item, so there may be minor scratches and stains. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about this.
